Single Instar is an instrumental piece that completes the second trilogy of Drosophelia releases, which was started by 6581 on the Moult EP.

The track features the Darvaza tremolo plugin (almost!) throughout, where it is apparent on the pulsating sub bass layer and on modular synthesizer improvisations beyond the half-way point of the track. The overall sound is atmospheric to the point of sounding like a hospital scene in a sci-fi movie.
