Single Diapause is essentially built upon an algorithmic composition.

The track evolves upon an incrementally stacking blend of layers, where upon each iteration a new part is introduced, slowly reaching a climax.

The algorithm is based on rules devised by Duncan Lockerby, fed through the Molecular Music Generator application available on this site.
